Spark curiosity and creativity with our fun, hands-on Saturday S.T.E.A.M. classes for K-5 students! Each month explores a new theme—like robotics, space, or eco-engineering—through engaging weekly projects that make science, tech, and art exciting. With small class sizes and expert instructors, we turn learning into an adventure your child will look forward to every weekend!
Our classes are designed for K-5 students (ages 5-11),with activities tailored to different skill levels.
Emphatically, yes! We just ask that an adult or older sibling stay during the class to assist your child.
Classes take place on Saturdays (excluding holiday weekends and noted breaks) for 1 hour at the
Clarence M. Mitchell, Jr. School of Engineering
Schaefer Engineering Building
Morgan State University
5200 Perring Parkway
Baltimore, MD 21251.
Parents sign their children up for each individual session. There is no commitment.
Each month focuses on a new theme derived from one or a combination of the five S.T.E.A.M. disciplines - Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics. Weekly projects build on that theme.
If your child is in Pre-K or Kindergarten or if your child has any special needs, we ask that you join your child in the classroom. Otherwise, parents are free to wait in their cars or join other parents in a designated waiting space.
All materials are included.
We understand that things come up, so we ask that you cancel up to 48 hours before the class for a refund or credit.
"My daughter used to dread weekends, but now she can’t wait for Saturday mornings! The STEAM on Saturday program has made science and engineering so fun—she comes home bursting with excitement to show us her latest project. As a parent, I love that she’s learning critical thinking skills while having a blast!"
"After just a few weeks in STEAM on Saturday, my son’s confidence in math and science skyrocketed! His teacher noticed how much more engaged he became in class, and now he talks about becoming an engineer. The way the program makes complex concepts fun and accessible is truly remarkable."
